At Ashtree Primary Academy, we are proud of our vibrant and inclusive community. These principles are woven into every aspect of school life—from our teaching and learning to the way we interact and support one another. 

By fostering these values, we create a nurturing environment where each child is encouraged to thrive, grow in confidence, and become a responsible, engaged member of society. At Ashtree, we believe that by embracing diversity and respecting individuality, we empower our pupils to reach their full potential and contribute positively to the world around them.  

Knowledge: We believe that knowledge is the foundation of a fulfilling life. Our goal is to ignite a passion for learning in every child, encouraging them to explore ‘the best that’s been thought and said.’ Whether they are studying ancient Roman aqueducts, delving into the particle model in physics, or learning to code their own website, we want our pupils to aspire to the highest levels of knowledge and achievement. By nurturing a love of learning, we equip our children with the curiosity and skills they need to set and achieve their goals, confidently engage with the world around them, and critically evaluate the ideas they encounter. 

Respect: Respect is fundamental to our community at Ashtree Primary. We teach our pupils to interact with kindness and empathy, going beyond politeness and valuing each person’s unique perspective and treating everyone with care. By fostering a culture of respect, our pupils build strong, meaningful relationships, embrace diversity, and contribute positively to their community.   

Aspiration: Aspiration drives our pupils to excel and achieve their dreams. We encourage them to set ambitious goals and work diligently towards them, whether they’re mastering a musical instrument, excelling in their studies, or pursuing a personal passion. We support their journey of continuous improvement and lifelong learning, preparing them to face the future with confidence and capability.  

We also take pride in our commitment to British Values, ensuring that our pupils are prepared for life in modern Britain. We teach them to respect and appreciate people of all faiths, races, and cultures, and to understand that while opinions on what is ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ may differ, everyone is bound by the laws of England. The British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, mutual respect, and tolerance are integral to our curriculum. 

By embedding these values into every aspect of our school life, we foster a nurturing environment where every child is empowered to succeed and make a positive impact on society.
