May I take this opportunity to welcome you to our website and introduce myself. Having joined Ashtree Primary Academy as Principal in January 2026, I am delighted to be leading our school and working alongside our wonderful Trust, staff, children, and families. I am genuinely excited about the journey ahead for Ashtree and the vibrant community we serve.

With many years of experience across both Primary and Secondary education—and as a mother of three boys—I firmly believe that high-quality education is the key to providing young people with a promising and fulfilling future. Since my arrival, our dedicated team has worked tirelessly to build upon our strong foundations, and I am incredibly proud of what our school community has already achieved together.

Our commitment to high standards and nurturing every child's individual potential is already yielding fantastic results across the academy:

• 100% Phonics Pass Rate in 2026: We are thrilled to share that 100% of our pupils achieved the expected standard in the Phonics Screening Check—an outstanding achievement that significantly exceeds the national average (80% in 2025).
• Key Stage 2 SATs Results: Our 2026 Key Stage 2 results demonstrate strong, consistent progress across Reading, Writing, and Mathematics, reflecting the hard work of our pupils and the dedicated teaching delivered every day. This demonstrates our rapid school improvement journey.  

 Enriching the Curriculum & Outdoor Learning

We believe in educating the whole child, ensuring our curriculum offers rich, varied, and memorable learning experiences both inside and outside the classroom:

Forest School & OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning): We are delighted to have officially become a Forest School and an OPAL school! These initiatives allow our children to develop resilience, confidence, and creativity through outdoor exploration, play, and hands-on learning in nature.

Specialist Teaching in Physical Education and Music: To ensure our pupils receive the highest quality instruction in physical education and the arts, we are proud to offer teaching delivered by specialist PE and Music teachers, inspiring passion and excellence across sports, performance, and creative expression.
